How to Talk About I-160
Key Messages Opposing I-160
As we work to educate the rest of Montana about the dangers of I-160, it is importation that we highlight a number of key concepts:
- This initiative will hurt Montana’s agriculture, ranching and forestry industries by significantly adding to the cost of doing business in Montana.
- I-160 will remove an important wildlife management tool from home owners, ranchers, farmers and pest control professionals.
- This initiative will waste taxpayer dollars by forcing public employees to conduct basic pest control on public lands.
- The initiative is so broadly worded, that it would ban the trapping of common pests, like moles and gophers.
